Important to know if manual zero offset is taking too long!

Perhaps this information is in the FAQ section or rolled back a page but:

If your Garmin 705 or 500 has ANT+ heart rate monitor enabled but you do not have the strap on or near your computer head, when you attempt to do a manual calibrate (zero offset) you may either be unsuccessful or take 5+ minutes or more as the head unit chases its tail searching for the heart rate strap before it does the zero offset operation. So if you're not going to wear the monitor, disable the setting within the Garmin and manual calibration will take a very few seconds.

Thank Kai for the information

Awesome, thanks for that info, had this issue this morning while trying my Quarq for the first time and didn't know what was happening.

On the Garmin 500, what I do is go to Sensor Details before doing a manual calibration. Its just right below. It goes from Not Connected to Connected. Then I do a manual calibration, and it works fine.
