Is there any thought to having a mtn crankset? Thanks, Rob |

I run a 110bcd CinQo on my MTB but you are limited to a 34T small ring (33T if you can find one). So on my XC bike it is 1:1 in the lowest gear. I have one on my singlespeed, which works out fine because 34T is pretty standard up front. We are looking at MTB cranks, but we will need to support 4 bolt systems and a smaller inner ring. Any product is at least one year away. Jim |

I apologize in advance for all the questions. What chainrings do you use, 50-34? Is your cassette something like 11-34? Do you think it gives you enough gearing for all kinds of mountain bike riding? I would probably need a different front derailleur also, correct? I really like my two Cinqo's that I have and would like to get another if possible and not switch to a different system. On another note, my current Cinqo's are over a year old and was wondering if you recommend sending them in once per year for dynamic calibration? Thanks again, Rob |

I run 46-34 up front and 11-34 in back. The 46 is plenty big for MTB, usually people have a 42 or 44. Overall the gearing is a bit tall for general use, but not too bad. It is certainly fine if you ride in rolling or flatter terrain (Texas, Minnesota, Wisconsin, etc.) It is also fine for racing, the low gear is 1:1 so when that is not enough, you are not worse off to just push / run. If you CinQo is a year old, you are welcome to it back and we will give it the check up for free. Email us at thinkfast@quarq.us to arrange. Jim |

Sorry for all the questions, what kind of FD and shifter do you use for the double chainring up front? |
Jim@Quarq9 months ago |
I currently have a Deore LX FD from around '04 or '06. The main thing is to make sure it can get positioned vertically correctly and not have the inner plate contact the 34T ring. |

You will have Rotor 3D 110 BCD soon. Can it be used in Rotor 3D 110/74 BCD 2x9 MTB Crank? Or will you support SRAM XX Crank? |
Jim@Quarq8 months, 1 week ago |
Yes, the Rotor 3D 110 bcd CinQo will fit the Rotor 3D MTB cranks. However, there is no 74bcd inner ring. Jim |

I don't quite catch your meaning. for the following, which one is right?

Lan, We only have one 110bcd Rotor CinQo. It is primarily for road use, but works nicely on a mountain bike. You can run one or two 110 bcd rings on it, but there is no mounting point at all for a 74bcd ring. So you will have power measurement in both rings, but the chainring sizes are limited. I use 46/34T on mine. Jim |

So you use 46/34 now Does the chainline is too large (>>50mm)? Do you move one washer from BB drive-side to BB non-drive-side to drease chainline? Therefore, one washer in BB drive-side and two washers in BB non-drive-side. |

"We only have one 110bcd Rotor CinQo. It is primarily for road use, but works nicely on a mountain bike." Does this comment mean the 110bcd Rotor CinQo is available for Rotor 3D or is in reference to the old Agilis one? |

Hi! I really appreciate the advent of Quarq in the power meter market. It seems the superior product to me. I am looking forward to a Cannondale SL spider which fits with SRAM XX chainrings! That would be really great! Hannes |

I would buy a Quarq if it was mtb-specific. My preference would be one with XX chainrings. I already have a PowerTap, but it is built into a wheel. Not only do I have multiple mountain bikes, but they have different wheel sizes. I'll reiterate: I WILL BUY A QUARQ WHEN A MTB-SPECIFIC VERSION IS OFFERED. Now, get to work! |

Do you support the new Rotor 3D titanium crankset MTB (double)? If so, all of us MTB guys have a real option, cause they provide a setup of 27/40 and a bcd of 110/ 74 x 5 with or without Q-rings. If this is correct, can I ship the crank to you for mounting of the CinQo? (Please let us know since they are running a timelimited offer on: dulight.fr) |
