Sorry if this has been asked on the forum, but I can't find any reference. Does changing to Q-Rings affect the Cinqo calibration? Bruce |

They sell them with Q-Rings so I'd presume not. (PRESUME) |

The ones that are sold with Q-Rings would be calibrated at factory so there would be no problem. My question is whether a Cinqo that has been calibrated with SRAM chain rings would be significantly affected if Q-Rings are installed post factory calibration. |

Q-Rings have a very similar calibration to SRAM rings. You can swap them out and only change the calibration by about 1%. This includes both Road and Aero Q-Rings. SRAM and FSA solid TT rings do change the cal by about 5-6%. If you want us to recalibrate with the new rings you are welcome to send it in. |

If I want to switch to the Rotor Q-rings (the slightly elliptical ones) and want to send it in to be calibrated, do I need to also send in the crank as well as BB? Or just the crank? I assume I don't need to send in the pedals.... Also, if I just wanted to install the Q-rings without re-calibration, is there a specific torque to use for the chainring bolts ? |

I have the S975 with Red 110 BCD chainrings btw.... |

The slope difference between SRAM RED and Rotor OCP3 Q-Rings in compact (110BCD) is 2.7-2.8% so you will need to recalibrate. Jim's post above is talking about the 130BCD rings. You need to send in the drive-side crank arm. You do not need to send in the BB or pedals. Call or email our customer service team to organize it. http://www.quarq.com/contact --Troy@Quarq |
