I just got my S975 Compact a couple weeks ago. When I first installed it, it had a calibration reading of -5. However that number drops after each ride. After my second ride it would drop to -216, then the next ride -230, then -320, -365 and tonight it dropped to -407. At this rate, it will drop below -500 after two or three more rides! What is the lowering of the calibration number signifying? The chainring bolts are not tight enough? |

On an unrelated note. I am curious to know how long it took for your S975 Compact crank order to be fulfilled. I ordered one 6 weeks back. Still no word. |

I got it immediate as I bought it from Fascat coaching who happened to have the crank in stock. |

Have the same crankset with the same problem of decreasing numbers over the course of a couple of months. Was told it was a bit of a settling in period and that the chainring bolts probably needed to be re-torqued. Popped off the crankset loosened up chainring bolts and re-torqued them to specs and numbers reading pretty close to zero. |

My number seem to have stablized a bit. .At least it hasn't continued to drop. It still fluxuates, but hasn't dropped below -430 yet. |

I received my Giustaforza torque wrench today. I just re-torqued my chainring bolts to 10Nm. All the bolts were actually slightly below 10Nm.. And upon spec. them up, now my calibration reading is +16 :) nice! It was consistently in the -400 region for the last week and a half. So the sensor is very sensitive to chainring bolt tightness. |

Interesting finding! Further to my above point I did a small race today after I had tighten and spec the chainring bolts to 10nm which gave me -16 calibration reading. Today after just doing a 10min warmup on the course I recalibrated and got a -362 reading. After the race I came home and recalibrated and was -380. I checked the chainring bolts and they were loosen! I again tighten them back to 10nm and recalibrate and it's now back to -16. |

You should grease any bolts you intend to torque. Otherwise you'll torque the dust, and eventually stretch the bolts. |

I had applied loctite blue this time |
